Taylor Connolly

Taylor Connolly is 19 years old and a sophomore at USC Upstate majoring in Business. Taylor has been dancing competitively for eight years – five of which were with StarMakers. She has trained in contemporary, tap, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, clogging, and irish step. Taylor has won her age category as a soloist at the State Dance Championships and at several National competitions. She has also won several State and National titles on StarMakers Company Teams. Taylor has always been athletic and enjoyed playing sports such as softball and basketball. In 2004, Taylor recognized her love for dance auditioned and joined her first competitive dance team. In 2007, Taylor moved from Simi Valley, California to South Carolina where she fell in love with StarMakers, the Staff, and the other dancers.  In 2010, Taylor joined 4 other SMDC dancers on a trip to New York City for an audition for Paula Abdul’s “Live to Dance”. In 2011, Taylor and SMDC co-worker Seany Swain joined the E’Clatez, a professional touring dance company under the direction of Christopher Robbins. Taylor considers the studio to be her “second home” and is looking forward to fulfilling her dream as a dance teacher.
